Pvent is for users aged 16 and over.
Be honest
Fake events, harassment, and illegal activity result in immediate removal.
You own your content
We display it; we don't claim ownership of anything you post.
1 · Who can use Pvent
You must be at least 16 years old to use Pvent. By using the service, you confirm you meet this requirement.
If you are under 18, you confirm you have your parent or guardian's permission to use Pvent.
2 · Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
One account per person. Don't impersonate anyone.
You can delete your account at any time from the app settings.
If we believe your account has been compromised, we may suspend it and contact you at your registered email address.
3 · What Pvent does
Pvent uses geofencing to detect when your device enters an event area and counts you as present. All other attendees see only the total crowd count (e.g. "34 people here now"). Precise GPS coordinates are never shared with anyone.
Ghost mode
You can activate Ghost mode at any time. In Ghost mode your presence is hidden from all users including friends. You are still counted in the crowd total.
Friends
Friends can see that you are attending the same event so they can find you, unless Ghost mode is active.
Event organisers
Organisers with an analytics subscription receive aggregated participation statistics for their own events. Data is only released once at least 5 participants are counted (k ≥ 5). No personal data is ever passed to organisers.
Blocking a user prevents them from seeing your presence in any geofence and from contacting you through Pvent.
4 · Community rules
By using Pvent, you agree not to:
Create fake events or events designed to mislead, harass, or endanger others
Collect or share another user's location data without their consent
Use Pvent to organise or promote illegal activity, hate speech, or violence
Impersonate another person or organisation
Create multiple accounts to evade a suspension or ban
Discriminate against others based on protected characteristics
Hosts (users who publish events) are additionally responsible for the accuracy of their event information and for complying with all applicable laws regarding the events they organise.
5 · Your content
You own anything you post on Pvent — event descriptions, announcements, Q&A replies. By posting, you grant Pvent a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your content on the platform. We do not claim ownership of your content.
We can remove content that violates these rules, and we will tell you why.
6 · Moderation and reporting
Report any event, post, or user via the three-dot menu in the app, or by emailing safety@pvent.app.
Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
Threats of violence or self-harm are escalated immediately.
If we remove your content or restrict your account, we will notify you with a reason. You can appeal any decision within 14 days by writing to safety@pvent.app.
In cases of serious or repeated violations, we may permanently remove an account without prior notice.
7 · Liability
Pvent is provided as-is. We do not control the events that hosts organise, what happens at them, or the actions of other users. We are not liable for the content of events, organisational decisions made by hosts, or harm that occurs at in-person events.
Where Austrian mandatory consumer protection law (KSchG) applies, nothing in these terms limits the rights that law gives you.
8 · Changes to these terms
We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any material change. If you do not accept the new terms, you can delete your account before the effective date. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the change.
9 · Governing law
These terms are governed by Austrian law. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Vienna, Austria.
If you are an EU consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence.
